A NOTE FROM OUR NURSE
During the past 4-6 weeks, I can confidently say that we could’ve used a Nurse practitioner or PA here at Hope Pregnancy Center. We’ve seen a handful of pregnancy test patients (at least 4) that have had positive pregnancy tests at home, however, ended up with a negative test here at the center. It’s always somewhat frustrating in those circumstances to tell our patients: “Sorry. According to our test here today, you’re not pregnant, or you are pregnant but it’s just too early to tell. You can come back in a couple of weeks for a re-test if you don’t have any concerning symptoms, and you still haven’t gotten your period.” In these instances, our patients often leave disheartened, feeling somewhat confused as to what’s going on with their bodies.
If we had a provider in-house, the provider could have a consultation with them and ordered further testing (like a quantitative HCG blood draw) to at least confirm their pregnancy. They could also order an STI panel and perform a women’s well-visit exam to make sure our pt’s basic healthcare needs are being met and that they didn’t have any other health issues or concerns that might need addressed.
Our patients would have a better sense of what’s going on with their bodies, and hopefully more peace of mind as to how to move forward with their health-care needs. Often these ladies have experienced miscarriage in the past and they’d like to know if they’re pregnant sooner, rather than later, so they can get appropriate care and take care of themselves. Sometimes these women who’ve had multiple miscarriages just need progesterone to help maintain their pregnancies, which is something a provider can prescribe for them in early pregnancy, or even before they conceive if they feel it’s appropriate.
We’ve also had a couple of patients that were pregnant, and we had to refer them to an
Urgent Care clinic or their doctors as we suspected that they could have urinary tract infections
brewing, based off of their clinical findings. If we had a provider in house, we could’ve ordered
the urinalysis test here at the clinic and got them started on a treatment plan right away,
instead of having to refer them out for further testing/treatment and hoping/praying they
actually follow through with our recommendations.
A provider will greatly impact the ways we can serve women and men in our local community and increase our opportunities to share the hope we have in Christ as we meet them in their time of need. When the Lord provides that perfect person, our patients will hugely benefit from it. I can’t wait to see who the Lord is going to send us.

Q&A
30 Days For Hope is a month-long prayer and fundraising campaign supporting Hope Pregnancy Center (HPC), a Pro-Abundant Life medical clinic serving both Oregon and Idaho communities. HPC provides free, life-affirming medical services to women and men facing unplanned pregnancies or the risks of sexually transmitted infections.
One of the greatest challenges we face at Hope is reaching women in Oregon and Idaho who are considering abortion—especially as many are now ordering abortion pills through the mail, a practice that can be extremely dangerous to their health.
Our goal is to connect with these women before they take that step, offering a safe place where they can receive accurate medical information, compassionate care, and education about all their options.
Disclaimer: Hope Pregnancy Center is not an abortion clinic and does not perform or refer for abortion, including the morning-after pill.
At HPC, our staff serve clients from all walks of life — including those with no insurance, pre-existing conditions, and a variety of health concerns. By adding a nurse practitioner to our team, we can expand the range of care we provide through services such as well-woman exams, early prenatal care, full-panel STI testing and treatment for both women and men, and IUD removal.
Our goal is to remove barriers that prevent patients from getting the help they need and to add value to our community by offering high-quality, compassionate care to everyone who walks through our doors. Every person deserves a judgment-free environment where they can discuss their pregnancy options and sexual health with a qualified medical professional they can trust.
We’re expanding our services by hiring a Nurse Practitioner in response to the rapidly changing medical landscape in Idaho and Oregon. To remain relevant and effective in serving our communities, HPC must continue offering clients comprehensive, compassionate, and life-changing medical care—all at no cost to them.
With limited OB care in our area, our patients find it difficult to receive medical care in a timely manner, especially during the first trimester. Our clients are often lower income and nutritionally challenged and can face increased pregnancy risks because of this. Early pregnancy detection, intervention, and support can help these otherwise vulnerable women get the help and support they need in early pregnancy. Having a competent, compassionate, nurse practitioner who’s already established a working relationship with these women would increase our ability to help them and to intervene during their time of need. These women would already know our staff and our provider and would hopefully feel comfortable and safe coming to us if they experience a crisis pregnancy or unexpected STI.
In Idaho, minors are unable to access medical services without parental consent, and many teens facing an unexpected pregnancy feel uncertain or afraid to seek help. By offering a broader range of free medical services under the guidance of a Nurse Practitioner, we hope to reach these young people earlier—helping them understand their options, receive accurate information, and experience holistic care before making a life-altering decision.
What sets HPC apart is our commitment to meet the growing physical, emotional, and mental needs of clients while sharing the gospel and love of Christ. Expanding our medical services helps us build more relationships, giving clients a compelling reason to come to us first for support and comprehensive healthcare.
Our ministry currently operates on a budget of $383,150 per year, but with the addition of a nurse practitioner, we’ll need to raise funds for clinic (office) remodeling, medical accreditation, medical supplies and equipment, plus a rebrand with a name update and a new outdoor sign. We will increase our annual budget to $500,000 per year. With God’s help we hope this number will be less.
HPC will apply for a grant in 2026. If awarded a grant, it would provide partial funding to hire the nurse practitioner position for three years (66% of total cost) with HPC required to fundraise for the remaining balance. If we don't receive a grant, HPC will fundraise for the entire related costs.
Every gift to Hope Pregnancy Center directly changes lives. Your support ensures women and families in the Treasure Valley have access to compassionate, judgment-free medical care and guidance during some of life’s most critical moments. Together, we can remove barriers, offer hope, and make a lasting impact—every dollar matters.
Our plan is to raise funds and, Lord-willing, have our Center ready for a nurse practitioner by October, 2026.
-
God’s provision of finances.
-
God’s calling upon a qualified and gifted nurse practitioner.
-
God’s timing for remodeling, accreditation, and hiring.
-
God’s favor with the MJ Murdock organization as we apply for a grant.
Thank you so much for you support over the last few weeks and over the years. We could not do this important work without you!
"For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord."

How You Can Partner With Us in Our Mission for Hope
We believe that every person has unique gifts that can be used to make a difference for abundant life. Our holistic approach reflects four key ministry areas: Prevention, Intervention, Church, and Transformation. Whether it’s teaching students about healthy choices, walking alongside clients with compassion, equipping churches with truth, or mentoring families toward healing and growth, each ministry plays a vital role in meeting people where they are and offering both practical and eternal hope for the future. No matter your background or abilities, there is a place for you to serve, share your gifts, and be part of God’s work to bring life, healing, and transformation in our community.

Our ministry program, Thrive Healthy Relationship Education (THRIVE), seeks to advance whole-person wellness for teens by equipping them to navigate choices, pressures, and values that shape their future relationships and outcomes. Through honest conversations, factual information, and proven prevention models, THRIVE opens the door to healthier thinking around common teen experiences — promoting sexual integrity, preventing abuse, and supporting emotional and mental well-being.

Our intervention ministry provides free, confidential medical services- including pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, and options education- in a safe environment where every woman is seen, supported, and cared for with dignity. We believe that every life is sacred and that every woman deserves the opportunity to experience hope and healing through the love of Jesus. Our trained medical staff and advocates walk alongside each client, offering practical help, emotional support, and biblical guidance so that abortion becomes unnecessary and life is celebrated. For the Church, this mission is an extension of the Gospel — meeting both physical and spiritual needs while pointing every heart to abundant life in Christ. Together, we can ensure that truth is spoken, compassion is shown, and every woman knows she is not alone.

Our Church Ministries exist to come alongside pastors, leaders, and congregations, equipping them to engage boldly and biblically on issues of life, sexuality, identity, and the Gospel.
We teach a biblical view of God’s image and design for life, and our goal is to help our churches navigate these complex conversations with both truth and grace.
Our THRIVE Ministry offers specialized programs for youth groups, Christian schools, and homeschool co-ops. These trainings empower young people to understand their identity in Christ, make wise choices about relationships and sexuality, and become a generation that champions life and wholeness. To request a church visit, please fill out the form below.

We believe real change happens through relationship- a Gospel-centered walk that leads to healing, growth, and lasting transformation. Our Transformation Ministries exist to meet families not only in crisis, but through the months and years that follow, helping them build strong foundations rooted in Christ.
Through our Healing Hearts post-abortion ministry, women are invited to experience true forgiveness and restoration through the grace of Jesus. In these Christ-centered support groups, hearts are healed, burdens are lifted, and lives are renewed by the power of the Gospel.
Our Earn While You Learn program equips parents with practical skills and biblical wisdom for raising their children with confidence and love. As they complete classes, participants earn items from our Blessings Boutique—everything from diapers and baby clothes to car seats and supplies—ensuring that no family walks this journey alone.
Each of these ministries reflects our deep conviction that when families are equipped, encouraged, and embraced in the love of Christ, they are empowered to make life-affirming choices and experience the abundant life God desires for them.

Post-Abortion Support
The Healing Hearts Bible Study is created for women who have experienced the loss of a child through abortion. Using the hope and truth found in God’s Word, this study provides a gentle path toward healing and restoration. At HOPE, we offer a safe and confidential space where women can find support, grace, and comfort as they walk through this together.
