New Name, Same Gospel Mission
A Note from our Executive Director
For forty years, God has sustained Hope Pregnancy Center through His power and grace, and the prayers, generosity, and faithful service of our community. Every mother comforted, father encouraged, and baby welcomed is part of a story that reaches beyond our doors and into generations to come.
As we honor that history and prepare for the years ahead, we are grateful to announce our new name: Legacy Medical Clinic. This name carries forward forty years of Hope while reflecting our expanding medical services and the lasting impact of caring for women, men, and families.
Throughout our history, we have answered God’s call to love the people He places before us. As we grow, that calling remains at the heart of our work. Expanded medical care allows us to meet more needs, build relationships, and create more opportunities to share the hope of Jesus Christ.
We also recognize that everything entrusted to us- the gifts of our supporters, the dedication of our volunteers, and the trust of those who walk through our doors- belongs to God. We are called to steward these gifts faithfully, strengthening this ministry so the next generation can continue the work He began.
That is the heart behind Legacy. A life protected today can change a family’s future. Compassion offered in a moment of fear can open the door to hope, healing, and faith. We may never see the full impact, but we trust God to work through each act of obedience.
To every donor, church, volunteer, staff member, and community partner who has helped shape these forty years: thank you. As Legacy Medical Clinic, we move forward with the same foundation in Christ and a renewed commitment to serve faithfully for generations to come.
To God alone be the glory.

LEARN MORE
01
Is Legacy Medical Clinic a new ministry?
No, and that is the best part. It is the same ministry, the same Savior, the same love for women, men, and families, now with more room to serve them. Our Gospel mission and our commitment to life remain steadfast. We will never promote or refer for abortion, and we will always point people to Christ.
02
What does expanded medical care actually mean?
It means more doors open for the gospel. More appointments for women carrying their babies means more moments to love them well, walk beside them, and point them to Jesus. Every visit is a new touchpoint. We are believing in God to make Legacy the first place couples turn to when they need pregnancy medical care or sexual health care.
03
What services are being added, and will hours increase?
As the need grows, we plan to expand our hours so more people can be served. Our Family Nurse Practitioner will help us offer:
-
Early prenatal care
-
Comprehensive STI testing and treatment
-
Abortion Pill Reversal
-
Bridge care for pre-existing low-risk medical conditions
-
Well-woman exams, including pap smears, HPV testing, and breast exams
-
Education on contraception and hormone health
Each is a chance to show Christ's compassion to someone at the moment they may need hope the most.
04
How long will we walk with a woman, compared to before?
Longer, and that is the best news. Women will be able to receive professional, comprehensive first-trimester prenatal care for themselves and their preborn babies, with limited postpartum care, from a team that loves them. Our nurse practitioner will work hand in hand with our nurses, certified lactation consultant, and patient advocates. Instead of a single visit, we get to walk with her from the first weeks of pregnancy into her new season as a mother, sharing the hope of the gospel every step of the way.
05
Why does first-trimester care matter so much?
Because many moms often cannot get into a doctor until week 15 or 16 of their pregnancy, and they lose precious early care. Those are the weeks when a mom is often most frightened and most open to someone who cares. We will be a bridge, caring for mom and baby until she can see her regular doctor.
06
What about men?
We have had to turn men away who came for STI testing. That ends. We will offer expanded testing and treatment to men as well as women. Through our men's program we already offer spiritual and emotional support, and now we can care for their health too. Our male staff members will continue offering mentoring and discipleship opportunities to each man through our Dr. Dad programs.
07
Will medical care pull us away from the gospel?
It does the opposite. It opens more doors for the gospel. Each medical visit is another touchpoint, and every touchpoint builds trust that can grow into a deeper relationship. Those relationships give us more opportunities to offer patients prayer, place a Bible in their hands, invite them to church, and connect them to mentoring and discipleship opportunities through our Earn While You Learn ministry. As we expand medical care, it will remain rooted in holistic, gospel-centered care for the whole person.
08
Why couldn't this happen eight years ago, or even two?
Because God had to build the ministry first. Our donor base has grown, and we now have professional medical people serving at many levels: a medical director, a radiologist, a sonographer, registered nurses, a lactation consultant, and a clinic manager with a PhD in nursing. The years of faithful giving and volunteering were laying this foundation. The timing is the Lord's.
09
Why move away from the name Hope Pregnancy Center?
We love the word and what it has meant for forty years. But "pregnancy center" is often used against us. The abortion industry labels pregnancy centers "fake clinics" and steers people away. Oregon cites them as groups to keep out of public schools. And we get confused with other groups. Legacy gives us a clean name in the community, one that says we are a professional medical clinic, and we are choosing to be wise as serpents and gentle as doves.
10
What is the legacy we hope to leave?
A physical legacy: parents choosing life for their children, and families strengthened for generations. And a spiritual legacy that bears eternal fruit: men, women, and children who come to know the hope of Christ.
Our prayer is that we will live up to our name- not through any one person. Only God can do this: the Spirit and breath of God who raises the dead. Many of us carry a story of abortion that God has redeemed, and He uses redeemed people to reach lost people. We get to watch men and women facing hard decisions discover, through prayer, care, love, and the gospel, that there is a different way. They do not have to choose death. There is an abundance of love, care, and support.
